The Cameron Area Scholarship Foundation (CASF) is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1985, and governed by a board composed of seven members; four officers and three directors. Officers are elected to one year terms at the annual meeting held in January and directors serve a three year term.

Anyone who contributes $1.00 or more for the purpose of the organization is considered to be a member of the Foundation and is entitled to vote and hold office The Foundations mission is summed up in their motto, "Striving for Educational Excellence." This is carried out by raising funds for scholarships for Cameron seniors planning to pursue further education at either a university or a vocational/technical college. The amount and number of scholarships are based on the money available each year, with a goal of assisting at least 10% of each graduating class and one more given to an alumnus. Meetings are held three to four times a year and the Foundation is always looking for interested parties that would like to be active members.
