Students, if you are getting storage full or near full warnings, read this article.
On the left menu in Google Drive, click Manage storage

You will be at a page that shows a bar graph of what app is using storage, and your largest files.

You can reduce drive usage by:
- Removing large files to get back under the limit
- Removing google photos from the school account.
Removing Google Photos

If you used your school account for photos, soon you will see the warning you have no space left in your google drive.
Set Up Partner Sharing
Google allows you to share access to your Google Photos with one other Google account (your personal account).
- Using Google's Set up partner sharing help article, follow the steps in the Share your photos with a partner section.
- In step 2 of their procedure, sign in to your School Google account.
- In step 4, enter the email address of your personal Google account.
Share and Save the Photos
- On another device, from your personal Google account, using Google's Google's Set up partner sharing help article as your guide, follow the steps in these sections:
- Accept a partner sharing invitation
- Find your school(partner) account's photos
- Save your those photos
This process may take some time.
Check That the Photos Are Saved
Before you delete the photos from your school account, double check that the photos were copied successfully.
Remove the personal account from your partner sharing in your school account:
- Click Settings (the gear icon in the toolbar).
- In the Partner Sharing section, you will see the email address of the person you are already sharing with.
- Click the down-facing arrow next to Partner Sharing. (If it is an up-facing arrow, skip this step.)
- At the bottom of the Partner Sharing section, click Remove partner, then click Remove in the confirmation message.
Check your personal Google account, make sure you have all the copied photos. If they were not copied correctly, repeat the steps above.
Delete Photos From Your School Google Account
- Delete all the photos:
- Click on the first photo.
- Shift-click the last photo.
- Click Delete (the trash can icon) in the toolbar (not the left sidebar).
- Then, to free up the space still used by those photos, in the left sidebar, click Trash.
- Near the top of the page, click Empty trash.
You can then check to see how much storage you're using.
