She competed in the state competition during halftime of the San Francisco 49ers v. Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field. After winning that competition she had to wait and see if her score was one of the top 4 in the nation. It turned out she was the 4th qualifying seed and her and her family were awarded with a trip to the Divisional Playoff game in Atlanta with the Packers playing the Falcons. The competition was held before the game. Her score was 12 points higher than the second place competitor. She was honored as the champion at halftime of the game. It was shown on TV at the end of the third quarter and a ‘collective roar’ could be heard in Cameron when her face came across the nation’s television screens!! She was honored with a pep assembly at CMS on Monday, January 17 after she returned victorious from Atlanta. What an awesome accomplishment!
